Who:

I will be a part of a team of about six people led by a member of Pirhuk Greenland Expedition Specialists. Throughout the journey, each member will be responsible for navigating, cooking, setting up the camp every evening and all the requirements associated with the success of an expedition of this magnitude.

What:

A complete unsupported, unassisted ski crossing of Greenland from the east coast to the west coast, a distance of about 342 miles. I will be dragging a sled carrying all the supplies I need to survive for just under a month.

When:

April – May 2012

Where:

The second largest icecap in the world on the island of Greenland. The terrain begins on crevassed ground and gradually ascends for the first half of the journey before descending down to the west coast. I will be documenting the journey on my Blog.

Why:

I am hoping to raise 10 dollars for every mile I will be skiing, a total of 3,420 dollars, for Doctors Without Borders. The men and women of this organization work tirelessly for all of humanity. Please help me support their cause by clicking here.
I am also joining this team to take part in an expedition that will be my longest and most ambitious one yet. By skiing across Greenland, I hope to progress one step closer to self-discovery.
